Project update – Life Changing Media – Indonesia
Listeners can be located on remote islands, in far-flung forest communities or deep in the mountains.
The one thing they have in common is that they are all on the low level of economy and social status. So while programs are tailored to speak into the lives of children, teenagers, men, women, farmers, fishermen or ethnic groups, their goal is the same:
- Reach those who have not heard the Gospel because of the barriers of remoteness, poverty or both.
- Educate and encourage listeners to spiritual maturity so they can become instruments for the Kingdom of God in their own communities.
- Provide practical help for listeners who are physically or psychologically endangered.
- Assist the churches in leading and taking care of believers living in isolated places.
NEXT STEPS…
TWR – Indonesia and TWR – Australia are working together to test a broadcasting model in 2009 that will expand the coverage of our work in Indonesia.
